1. Ropeway, Joshimath

​This ropeway is another prime attraction of the town which is regarded as the longest ropeway in Asia towards Auli. The services are open only during summers offering a captivating view of snow clad Himalayas and cost more that Rs. 500.

2. Ghangaria

Perched high in the mountains of Himalayas, Ghangaria is a place of dreams and breathtaking scenery. It serves as the starting point for the trek to Valley of Flowers for many trekkers as well for pilgrims to Hemkund Sahib. Situated at an altitude of 3000 meters in the middle of the Western Himalayas, Ghangaria is a stunning village with amazing natural landscape and aura.

3. Nanda Devi National Park

In proximity to Nanda Devi, which is the second highest peak in India, lies the Nanda Devi National Park in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this park is one of the most biodiverse regions in the world and is home to some of the rarest and unique high-altitude flora and fauna in the world. The breathtaking views, coupled with the richness of biosphere, set this national park aside from all others that are located in the country

4. Tapovan

Located in the picturesque state of Uttaranchal, Tapovan is a destination most famous for its hot springs. It is believed that these springs have medicinal properties and are believed to cure skin diseases. This destination also offers fabulous views of peaks such as Nanda Devi and Dronagiri Chaukumbha and is also a gateway to many other popular tourist destinations such as Badrinath and Valley of Flowers.

5. Narsingh Temple

Beloved to be home to Lord Badrinath, the presiding deity of Narsingh Temple is Lord Narsingh. Lord Narsingh is regarded as an incarnation of Lord Vishnu and the idol is said to be installed in the premises by Shankaracharya.

6. Kalpavriksha

Kalpavriksha is a holy tree located in Joshimath, Uttarakhand. Believed to be around 1200 years old, this mulberry tree is a site of pilgrimage owing to the rich history associated with it. According to Hindu scriptures, Lord Shankaracharya worshiped Lord Shiva under this tree. The Jyoteshwar Mahadev Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is built under this tree itself.

7. Vishnuprayag

The first of the famous Panch Prayags, Vishnuprayag is a wonderful place where River Alaknanda meets River Dhauliganga. The place is also home to many ashrams and the Vishnuprayag Temple while also being a great place for river rafting. The place is riveting with ferocious rivers, greenery, mountains and wildlife making it a perfect place for some soul searching and relaxation.
